Science students took a field trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park, in the fall of 2005, as part of a six-week enrichment course entitled “Volcanoes of Lassen”. Students constructed model volcanoes, explored geologic time processes, investigated the four major types of volcanoes, conducted experiments, and attended a ranger program on volcanoes at Manzanita Lake. The science class is one of the many classes held at Golden Eagle learning centers. Approaching science “hands-on” is a favorite at Golden Eagle!
