Lego Competition
First Lego League is a competitive team, for kids ages 9-14, that involves designing, building and programming a Lego robot to fulfill nine missions on a playing field. Students are also required to present a research project on the topic of the quest. This year’s quest was Nano Technology. The quest changes every year. In December, 2006, the Soaring Eagles and the Golden Eagles received 2nd and 3rd place for the prestigious Director’s Award in Klamath Falls. This is a good tool for learning math, science, engineering, effective communication, and teamwork while having fun.
