This one-day workshop took place at the Mt Shasta City Park on Sept. 6th, 2006 and was taught by EF Kelly McRee. The workshop was open to Golden Eagle students as an enrichment class. The students listened to a talk about basket-making traditions in the United States, Central America, and Africa. They looked at examples of different types of baskets. The students learned how to make the basic framework of a basket and then added different materials to make their own designs. All of the finished products were amazing, and all of the students asked if they could do this class again!
