Middle School Classes

Classes for middle school students are currently held at our Mt. Shasta office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We offer enrichment courses based on student needs and interests. The classes are taught by credentialed Educational Facilitators and vendors. The classes are open to any 6th  – 8th grade students enrolled at GECS. The class sizes are small, from 5-12 students per class. Students can choose to come to just one, or any combination, of the classes that are offered. Besides the benefit of having a small class and a variety of teachers, students get a chance to socialize, work on group experiments, practice oral communication and presentation, go on field trips, and to share problem-solving strategies and ideas. Our enrichment classes complement the independent study homeschool programs of our middle school students.
