“I started working with homeschooling families as an Educational
Facilitator in 1997, and was inspired to be a founder of Golden Eagle
Charter School. I am fortunate to work with parents to facilitate
personalized learning for their children as well as my own children.”
Main Responsibilities - Liaison between the
Charter School and the District, parents, and the community.
Remains current with legislation and educational trends. Drafts
and maintains the Charter School budget. Secures facilities as
necessary for the Charter School. Supervise and evaluate
employees of charter school.

Certification/Degrees:
B.S. in Oceanography (minor in Physics) from Humboldt State University,
M.S. in Oceanography, M.S. in Applied Mathematics from University of
Washington, K-12 Multiple Subject Credential, special endorsements in
algebra and physics
Education Experience(s): 5 years working in
personalized learning charter schools as an educational facilitator, 15
years tutoring mathematics, 5 years teaching math and science classes
at community colleges in California and Washington State.

Susan Beals - Operations Manager

Main Responsibilities - Accounts payable, purchasing,
human resources, independent contractors, payroll, newsletters, website
maintenance, SARC, Erate, Building Supervisor
and Governance Council.
Marita McIntyre - Office
Manager/Registrar
“I love promoting our programs at GECS & enjoy serving the
community. I have an interest in nature & the outdoors and love of
children and animals.”
Main Responsibilities - Enrollment , SARB/truancy,
attendance, SSID/CSIS, work permits, Scantron site administrator, Best
Practices Cohort, student information, SNOR, NAEP, Language Census,
field trips/student services, NSLP, Probation/Human Services liaison,
OASIS database maintenance, building supervisor and supervision of
clerks
& custodians.
